Parent Forum

At St Wilfrid’s, we value strong partnerships with parents and carers. Our Parent Forum serves as a vital communication channel, ensuring the voices of families are heard. It provides an opportunity to share ideas, give feedback, and contribute to school planning to help shape the best outcomes for our children.

What is the Parent Forum?

The Parent Forum brings together parents, carers, and school leaders to discuss key topics that impact school life. It focuses on sharing information, providing feedback on current policies, and offering suggestions for future improvements.

The forum is distinct from our PSA and the school governors:

  • PSA (Parent School Association) focus on fundraising and social events.
  • Governors oversee school management, policies, and budgets.
  • Parent Forum focuses on communication, feedback, and shared ideas.

Please note, the forum is not the place to raise concerns about individual children or staff members. For these matters, parents should contact their child’s class teacher or Headteacher, Miss Cousin.

Aims of the Parent Forum:

  • Support children’s learning and well-being.
  • Gather parent and carer views on important school matters.
  • Actively involve families in decision-making.
  • Help shape future school developments and priorities.

Who Can Join?

Every parent and carer at St Wilfrid’s is automatically a member of the Parent Forum. We encourage diverse participation from all year groups. Meetings are held at least termly, with discussion topics shared in advance.

Discussion Topics May Include:6

  • School policies and procedures.
  • School curriculum areas.3
  • Initiatives from school leaders or governors.
  • Suggestions from parents and carers.

Reporting and Next Steps:
