School Policies

At St Wilfrid's CE Primary School, our policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our key policies for your reference. If you need information on a policy not listed here or would like paper copies of any documents, please contact the school office.

Our policies guide the practical implementation of our school's vision and ensure that our core values underpin the day-to-day decisions and actions within our community. They address key processes in school life and reflect the relationships between pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community. These policies are essential to promoting effective teaching and learning, safeguarding, and respecting fundamental human rights.

All policies at St Wilfrid's are designed to provide a clear framework for the Headteacher, staff, and governors to ensure that our school operates smoothly and in line with our shared vision and strategic plan.

Our Policies Are Categorised as Follows:

  1. Statutory Policies
These are policies that schools are legally required to have in place, as outlined by government guidelines. These policies cover key areas such as safeguarding, health and safety, curriculum, and data protection.

  2. Non-Statutory Policies
In addition to statutory policies, we also have non-statutory policies which we call standards. These reflect the specific needs and values of St Wilfrid's. These policies address additional areas of school life and are designed to enhance our provision and ensure a consistent approach across all areas of school operations.

Each policy is carefully reviewed by the Leadership Team and the Governing Body to ensure it remains effective and relevant.
