Mission statement:

St Wilfrid’s church of England Primary school lies at the heart of the community it serves.  We work together, inclusively, as part of our local and wider community, striving to enable all children and members of our school to live life ‘in all its fulness’.  Driven by our Christian values, through the provision of an inspiring, engaging and creative curriculum, we aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and experiences that will enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The basis of our values:

‘So, in everything do to others what you would have them do to you’

Matthew 7:7 – 12

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:12

Values:

Kindness: Colossians 3:12 - Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Love: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Respect: 1 Peter 2:17 - Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honour the emperor.

Faith: 1 Corinthians 16:13 - Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong

Resilience: Romans 5:3,4 - Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces resilience; resilience, character; and character, hope.

Joy: John 15:10,11 -  If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
